The featured wood, Ash (top and legs) and Walnut (spreader and feet) are held together by minimalistic Oak cleats, scarfed blind mortice and tenons, and 5 ½ inch square-head lag bolts with vintage washers. Steel brackets not only add a touch of elegance, but keep the piece structurally sound and visually pleasing.
